Paralegal to Trainee

We are a leading mid-tier firm with circa 400 staff located across offices in Worcester, Cheltenham, Hereford, Wye Valley,Birmingham and the Thames Valley.

We want to recruit the best possible trainees and, in turn, help them develop and realise their true potential – hopefully undertaking a long and successful career with us!

Route 1 – Paralegal to Trainee

We recruit Paralegals throughout the year, as the need arises. When applying for a period of recognised training you should have the same academics as your Route 2 colleagues (unless exceptional circumstances apply) – namely a minimum 2:1 degree (in any subject, although obviously if not an LLB you will also be required to have passed the GDL), have A Levels equivalent to 300 UCAS points and have commenced the LPC.

Paralegals do not have to complete a minimum time at Harrison Clark Rickerbys in order to apply for a period of recognised training. However, your application will be greatly assisted by a written recommendation from your Head of Department. Recommendations can only be given where you have been employed as a Paralegal for a minimum of 6 months (if full time), or 12 months (if part time) – this is your opportunity to really impress your Head of Department!

Should you wish to apply for time to count, you must have completed a minimum of 12 months post LPC service with the Firm. Please note that we will not support applications for less than 6 months’ time to count. Time to count must be applied for at the start of the period of recognised training and not part-way through.

All paralegals who apply for a period of recognised training will be invited to attend our Assessment Centre with other Route 2 candidates.

In the case of both Route 1 and Route 2 applicants we will look for candidates with a link to or interest in one of the regions that we have a presence in.
