This month we introduce you to Hifsa O’Kelly, who has joined our employment team. She talked to Guy Hollebon.
What type of advice do you provide?
I provide commercially aware advice on employment law matters to businesses and senior executives.
Why did you join HCR?
HCR has a fantastic reputation for its client service and the high quality and full range of advice and support it provides to its clients; this is important to me as it fits with my values to do the best I can for my clients.
What are your first impressions of the firm?
Joining a firm remotely can be quite strange, but I’ve been made to feel very welcome and have settled in well and HCR has made a great first impression.
My most memorable outcome was achieving a strike out, after two previous attempts, against a litigant in person who did not actively pursue his claim. It was a very satisfying outcome for my client who would otherwise have had to spend a lot of time and resources defending the claim all the way to tribunal.
What do you do in your free time?
In my limited free time, my young children keep me busy and we enjoy going on walks in the countryside (mostly looking for fossils and unicorns!). I’m currently also training to run the London Marathon in October this year for charity.
