Competitive tender challenge success

Our client had been unsuccessful in a competitive tender process to provide a number of speed cameras to a constabulary. It wanted to challenge the award of the contract to the successful bidder.

Simon Biggin and Stewart Morrison in our dispute resolution team prepared a detailed letter of claim to the constabulary. It set out the reasons they considered the decision to award the contract to the winning bidder to be contrary to the Public Contracts Regulations.

The letter of claim resulted in the local authority agreeing to unwind its decision and re-evaluate the tenders.
