Herefordshire Charitable Art Competition 2018: Judging and Presentation of Prizes

An art competition focusing on the theme of “My Passion for Herefordshire”. The competition is designed to inspire the creation of works of art which celebrate people’s passions for the county and to promote engagement between the firm, the local community, amateur/professional artists and the commercial art sector.

On 12 November 2018 the entries will be judged by a panel (morning) followed by a drinks reception and the presentation of prizes (16:00-18:00). All entries and winning pieces will be displayed in All Saints Church (on mobile display boards) for 5 days, from 12-16 November 2018. The artworks must be suitable for hanging on the walls of HCR’s office meeting rooms in the long term after the competition.

The competition will have 5 categories, with each category being split into two age groups: junior (8-14 yrs), adult (15 yrs+). There will be eight winners (no entries have been received for Portrait – Junior or Leisure – Adult), who will each win £250 to be donated to a charity of their choice.

The competition sponsors are RRA Architects, The Institute of Art and Law, Brightwells Fine Art, Gallery 54 and the HCR Charitable Trust.
The judging panel comprises: Walenty Pytel, Amanda Hamilton, John Bulmer, Matt Hayes and Richard Knight.
