Harrison Clark Rickerbys tops legal rankings

Leading law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys, which has an office in the Thames Valley, ranks with the best in the country, with premier legal directory the Chambers and Partners UK Guide 2018 awarding the firm 33 prestigious Band 1-4 rankings. Eight of the ratings were at the very highest Band 1 level.

Amongst the accolades, Thames Valley-based partner and head of Thames Valley property department Rob Lynch received an exceptional individual Band 2 ranking in Chambers’ real estate category. The guide praised his advice “on a wide range of transactional matters, including the purchase of land for development and commercial property investments”.

Across the firm’s seven offices nationwide, 17 of the firm’s lawyers and 16 regional teams were ranked as Band 1-4 by the Chambers Guide – totalling 33 recommendations across nine legal practice areas.

Amongst the individually ranked lawyers, four were listed as Band 1 and seven as Band 2. The team ranked include corporate, banking and finance, real estate, education, family law, litigation and clinical negligence legal specialisms. Eleven of these were at Bands 1 and 2.

Derek Jones, Partner, Head of Thames Valley office

Derek Jones, head of the Thames Valley office, said: “Rob is an exceptional lawyer in his field and I am delighted that he has achieved this recognition, which is well deserved. As with all our Thames Valley legal teams, our focus across the firm is always on our clients, and the quality of service we offer them. Chambers and Partners confirms what The Legal 500 guide made so clear recently – that the quality of our lawyers is outstanding and that we give our clients service which rivals the best in the country, on their doorsteps.”

Referred to by clients looking to find the best legal representation for their business across the UK, the annual Chambers UK Guides have been ranking the top law firms and lawyers since 1990.  Law firms and individual lawyers are ranked in bands from 1-6, with 1 being the best. The qualities on which rankings are assessed include technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client.
