Three reasons why you should read our summary of the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020:

  1. The act introduces a new ‘monitored’ moratorium, outside an insolvency process, to allow for director-led rescue of the business
  2. There’s a change to the effect on your ability to rely on supply contract termination clauses, i.e. where a company enters a relevant insolvency procedure, insolvency is not a right to automatic termination
  3. A statutory demand served between 1 March and 30 September 2020 cannot form the basis for petition to wind up a company (at any point after 27 April 2020).
