Boost for education team as schools face new challenges

8 April 2021

The pandemic has created a world of uncertainty and change for the education sector. Many independent schools and academies are currently seeking opportunities to strengthen their position, whether by expansion, or perhaps carrying out a health check to ensure that the school is well-positioned for the future.

We are delighted to confirm that our dedicated education team, with over 20 years’ experience in the sector, has recently expanded, with Coral Peutrill joining the team to specialise in education law.

The team advises and supports schools by reviewing both governance structures and a range of contracts, as well auditing policies and advising on parental disputes and significant change processes.

Coral, based in the Wye Valley, joined the firm in 2016 and will help the education team from a commercial point of view, advising on contracts and agreements of all kinds.

She said: “I’m delighted to be joining the education team, which has such widely-acknowledged experience; schools and academies also have a range of agreements and contracts which all differ, so I know my work will always be varied and interesting.”

Coral joins Emma Swann, Head of Academies, in the Wye Valley office and will assist her with the wide range of issues schools face when considering academy status, from their first steps to the final legal details.

Coral can be contacted on 07570 683 568 or at [email protected].
