GDPR and data breaches – help is at hand for business leaders

11th September 2018

As companies continue their GDPR journey, data breaches and how to deal with them are in the spotlight, and we are holding a series of events offering advice on what to do when the worst happens.

The events, which start on 20 Sept in Birmingham, focus on real-life scenarios, taking participants through the investigation and compliance processes with practical advice. The sessions, in partnership with Marsh Ltd (Jelf) will equip business leaders with the steps they need to take to keep the risk of a serious data breach to a minimum.

The Birmingham event on Thursday 20 September, from 9.30am-12.30pm, is at Hotel du Vin, 25 Church St, Birmingham – the session is aimed at business leaders, data controllers and Data Protection Officers (DPOs). Our lead speakers will be Steven Murray and Adam Finch, joined by Eric Alter, senior vice president of Marsh.

If you’re based in the Thames Valley, we will be holding a session at Merlin House on Brunel Road, Theale on Thursday 27 September from 9.30am-12.30pm.

We will also run a compact update at the Puckrup Hilton Hall Hotel, near Tewkesbury, on Wednesday 3 October from 7.30am-9.30am, which will also look at some of the issues surrounding terms and conditions.

Employment expert Guy Hollebon will speak at a GDPR workshop run by Thomas Carroll at the University of South Wales on Usk Way, Newport, on 23 October which runs from 5pm-9pm.
