HCR’s Birmingham office bolstered by new employment and immigration team

Employment, immigration and HR firm Magma Legal, has joined Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Birmingham office, as part of its planned growth.

Rebecca Leask, Head of HCR’s Birmingham office said: “We’re delighted to welcome Omer Simjee and the Magma Legal team. Omer brings a unique blend of specialist immigration expertise with a commercial, pragmatic approach to advising employers on how to get the best from their teams. Since we relocated our Birmingham office to Cornerblock a year ago, we’ve achieved organic growth and bringing Omer on board is the latest step of our ambitious plan.”

Omer’s hire is hot on the heels of HCR’s latest insights report into the UK Skills Shortage, which identifies that increasing numbers of businesses are turning to immigration solutions to fill their recruitment gaps. Omer’s expertise will help meet client demand in this area.

Omer Simjee, who joins as a partner said: “This move presents exciting opportunities for my existing clients who will now be able to benefit from HCR’s size and breadth of advice. What’s important to me is that my values and approach to client care align with HCR’s. I’m pleased to be joining such a dynamic, bold and robust firm.”

Michael Stokes, Head of Employment and Immigration at HCR said: “We’re pleased to have agreed this move with Magma Legal who will bolster our existing employment, immigration and HR advisory services, further enhancing our offer to clients.”
