A new, independent bookshop will be opening in Cheltenham in mid-March thanks to a deal completed by Harriet Murray Jones in the HCR real estate team.
Rossiter Books will open across two floors in Montpelier Street, and will stock a range of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books, as well as hosting author events. The shop will be ideally placed for the Literature Festival in October – just minutes away from the festival site in Montpelier Gardens.
Harriet Murray Jones, who negotiated the new lease for Rossiter Books said: “Being part of a deal like this is always exciting – helping an independent business to expand into such a vibrant community is a real thrill. It’s great to see the bookseller industry is still thriving, and where better a place to locate a bookshop than Cheltenham?”
Andy and Victoria Rossiter, owners of Rossiter Books and President of the Booksellers Association of U.K and Ireland, said: “It’s great to be able to provide Cheltenham with a new bookshop – it’s already a celebrated literary hub thanks to the festival, and we’re excited to be able to add to this. I’d like to thank HCR in particular making the transaction so effortless. I’m looking forward to meeting the people of Cheltenham and getting to know their favourite authors.”
