Our in-house tax chambers is growing – we’re offering two extra pupillages, starting in 2022 and 2023.
The firm is one of a handful of solicitors’ firms outside London to have its own mini tax chambers and offer such opportunities to aspiring barristers. The expansion strengthens HCR’s already well-placed expertise in advising clients with tax problems across the UK, from private individuals to global corporations.
Sarah Woodall, barrister and Head of Tax at HCR, said: “This area of practice within specialist tax chambers is very limited, with 4,000 graduates chasing only 300 pupillages nationally to qualify as barristers.
“The expansion, despite implications of the pandemic, is testament to HCR’s commitment to creating opportunities for aspiring legal professionals. It is great that we can help in this way to attract talented individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds; it is certainly an exciting time to work in tax at HCR.”
Applications for the 2022 pupillage close on 8 February – see here for more details.
