New hand on the corporate reins for Harrison Clark Rickerbys

Richard Wilkey now leads Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ successful corporate team, taking over the reins from Rod Thomas, managing partner, at a time when the firm is second nationally for its volume of M&A deals, according to Experian.

Richard, who led the firm’s corporate team in Cheltenham from 2013 and then in London from last summer, has been with the firm since 2010. Rod Thomas has led the corporate team for the last 21 years.

Rich said: “I’m delighted to be taking over the reins from Rod, who has been instrumental in the growth and success of the team for over 21 years. The team has grown from a standing start to be a major UK player in the corporate M&A market.

“We focus on providing an exceptional service with a dedication to the client relationship at its heart; it is this which has attracted new talent to the team and allowed the phenomenal growth since its inception.

“Great opportunities continue to come in across all offices and the look forward pipeline remains strong.  I’m excited about taking the whole team to the next level and beyond.”

The team took second place nationally in Experian’s Q1 M&A deals rankings by volume, taking top spot in Wales and third place in London.

Rod said: “I am immensely proud of what the team has achieved and I know that Rich is the right person to take them forward, following our merger with Hewitsons. I have no doubt that he will ensure that our clients flourish alongside the team.”

Harrison Clark Rickerbys has more than 780 staff and partners based at offices in Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Hereford, London, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Thames Valley, Worcester and the Wye Valley, providing a complete spectrum of legal services to both business and private clients regionally and nationwide.

The firm has global reach via its network of independent law firms, LawExchange International. It also has a number of highly successful teams specialising in individual sectors, including health and social care, education, technology, agricultural and rural affairs, finance and financial services, defence, security and the forces, and construction.
