Worcester Warriors were not the only winners at our One Big Day match on Saturday 12 March; beating Exeter Chiefs 35:31 was a great result, making for a great afternoon for all those who joined us for the afternoon.
Among them were the winners of our two competitions run on the day – Andy Earnshaw won the rugby trivia game and took home a bottle of Bollinger. Poppy took home a gift voucher for the Sixways shop after the slot machine game up on the big screen picked her seat number; she was especially pleased to meet Alex Hearle, who scored a hat-trick.
Clients and colleagues mingled before and after the match, with more than 100 staff with family and friends watching the game from the stands. Bang sticks added to the fun for the younger spectators too.
The signed Warriors shirt was also auctioned off by sealed bids, with a very generous donation to our Charitable Foundation funds; many congratulations also to Toby who won the signed rugby ball.
Charlotte Thornton-Smith, head of the Worcester office, said afterwards: “It was a great afternoon – everyone clearly enjoyed it and the win for Warriors was the icing on the cake really. After so long it was great to be able to meet up in person with our guests and a pleasure to see so many people having such a good time.”
Plenty of great photos were captured on the day; watch our short slideshow, here.
