‘Sleeping Out’ for charity

11th October 2018

Jenny Raymond from Harrison Clark Rickerbys played her part last night in raising over £40,000 for Caring for Communities and People (CCP), a charity delivering services and projects to homeless people in Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset.

Jenny, a partner at Harrison Clark Rickerbys, is also a member of the GFirst LEP Board, and was asked to take part in the sleep-out at Gloucester Rugby Club on Wednesday 10 October to mark World Homeless Day.

Jenny explained that it was a humbling experience, “one night sleeping outside doesn’t begin to mirror the situation homeless people find themselves in. The money raised will ensure that there are shelters for homeless people in Gloucestershire throughout the winter, when the temperatures will be a lot lower than last night”.

Jenny has managed to raise £1,181 so far and would welcome any further donations. If you would like to donate to Jenny’s fundraising efforts, please go to https://www.ccp.org.uk/fundraisers/jenny-raymond-from-harrison-clark-rickerbys-is-sleeping-out
