Taking regional businesses’ Brexit temperature

Top business and legal advice for companies trying to plan ahead past Brexit will be on offer at Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ (HCR) Brexit conference at the Three Counties Showground on Wednesday 21 November.

As well as discussions with a panel of expert business advisors, business leaders will also be able to make their views known on Brexit and their own commercial futures with live voting throughout the event.

Richard Butler, the regional director of the CBI in the West Midlands, Gary Woodman, chief executive of the Worcester LEP, Frank Myers, Chair of the Herefordshire Business Board and a board member on the Marches LEP, and Ian Mean, director of the Gloucestershire Chamber of Commerce and board member of the GFirst LEP, will be on the expert panel.

HCR’s own Head of International Nicolas Groffman, who has established networks in China, India, the US, the Netherlands and Norway, and Beverley Smith, who specialises in business immigration and employment law, will make the key note speeches. They will focus on exporting, disruption to markets and key issues for workforces.

Businesses from eight industry sectors will take part in a round table discussion, covering the challenges and opportunities they’re facing over Brexit, and after lunch there will be a chance to have small group or one to one discussions.

Nicolas Groffman said: “This is a chance for businesses to hear from advisors and to talk to each other about the challenges they‘re facing, but also to flag up the ways that they are dealing with the chance to move into new markets on a new basis. We’ll effectively be taking the region’s Brexit temperature – it promises to be a fascinating day.”

The event runs from 9.30am to 3pm, with lunch provided. A few spaces are still available; to book, go to https://www.hcrlaw.com/event/brexit-conference/
