Uppingham Vietnam school opened with help from HCR

3rd December 2021

HCR have had a significant presence in the education sector for more than 50 years. Now the education team have helped set up a school in Vietnam.

The education team worked with Uppingham School in Rutland to set up the first purpose-built branded school with full boarding facilities in Vietnam. This ground-breaking project was led on HCR’s side by Nicolas Groffman, the head of our international team.

The new school will open in 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City and will be a co-educational school for children aged from 11 to 18. It is hoped that the school will develop the educational offering available in Vietnam while also preparing students for success at global universities.

Patrick Mulvihill, who led the ground-breaking project on behalf of Uppingham, said: “Nicolas Groffman and the wider HCR team were responsive, helpful and constructive. I am very happy to recommend HCR to other schools looking to expand overseas.”

Kristine Scott, head of HCR’s education team, welcomed the news. She said: “This is a great example of the team’s wide reach. We have now assisted with education projects in eleven countries and I am delighted we continue to support clients with our international expertise.”
