I enjoy helping individual people and make the process of buying or selling property less stressful for them, which is why I chose to specialise in real estate. Every transaction is different and I enjoy broadening my understanding of more complex points of law in the area.
I am more familiar with house sales and purchases than a lot of my clients and I take the stress of the situation off their shoulders and reassure them during the process. Building client rapport is very important to me and I work with a range of clients, including individuals buying and selling properties, together with companies that invest in properties either to develop or rent.
I also work closely with a disabled person’s charity, in relation to providing finance to people with a particular disability who might otherwise struggle to purchase property. Areas of expertise include residential property, sale and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, property declarations of trust and first registrations.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and eight month old son, whether going for walks, cycles or out for a meal. I also enjoy sport – particularly playing and watching tennis and football – and reading during my down-time.
Don’t rush into a house purchase/sale – it is one of the most important things you will do in life and should be done properly.
Whilst for a lot of clients a house move is not something you will do everyday, I help people with it every day so please do not be afraid to ask questions as you won’t be the first to have asked!
Make sure you pick a good solicitor who has time for you and gives you the service you deserve. If you are reading this you are in the right place.
What is the difference between exchange and completion?
On exchange parties become legally bound into selling/purchasing a property and a (usually) 10% deposit is paid. On completion the rest of the money is paid across and so are the keys – this is the day of the house move.
How long does a house sale/purchase take?
Every transaction is different and there are a number of moving parts and parties involved and we are only as quick as the slowest moving part. Most transactions will exchange in 6-8 weeks if everyone cooperates.
What are your fees?
Again, every transaction is different and we recommend calling us to discuss your specific transaction so we can accurately assess an appropriate fee.
