A bit about me

I provide a range of private client services, specialising in wills, probate and lasting powers of attorney (both property and financial affairs and health and welfare). I want all my clients to have the best possible experience and I’ll always aim to respond as soon as possible – within their timelines.

I pride myself on a compassionate service, especially when dealing with sensitive issues such as probate. You can also guarantee practical and tailored advice that’s appropriate to each client’s unique situation. I work with clients to draft wills (both straightforward and complex), inheritance tax planning, preparing and registering lasting powers of attorney and assisting in the administration of estates. I am a member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

In my spare time, I love walking, reading and spending time with friends and family. Having recently moved to a new house, I am developing a keen interest in interior design and planning which room to decorate next. I love dogs and have a one year old Dachshund who keeps me very busy!

Make a Will and ensure it is reviewed regularly.

Keep good records of your affairs.

Choose the people you trust and most importantly, work well together as your Executors/Trustees or Attorneys.

Should I make a Will?

The answer will always be YES! We have testamentary freedom in the UK to pass our estate to whomever we choose. We should be taking advantage of this opportunity. From a practical point of view, it is also administratively simpler if there is a Will which appoints an Executor(s).

I’m not very old, do I need a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)?

We recommend LPAs to all of our clients, especially the Property and Financial Affairs LPA. Nobody knows what life has in store and if you were ever unable to manage your affairs yourself, having an LPA in place is priceless and will save a costly and lengthy application to the Court of Protection. I often refer to LPAs as insurance policies – you may never need to use them, but they are there if you do.
