A bit about me

As part the commercial team based in the Hereford office, I use my City experience to provide expert commercial advice to businesses throughout the region. I’m good at what I do, I know where my strengths and weaknesses lie, and I really care about helping businesses to succeed. I spend my time getting to know my clients, understanding their circumstances, how their business works and what their ambitions are, before developing an effective case.

Although I’ve worked with all sorts of businesses across the world throughout my career, I now primarily apply my expertise to defence and security companies that make or sell goods and services with military or security applications.

I’m always proud to support my younger colleagues, and enjoy spending time trying to encourage and bring on the next generation of lawyers.

Want to know more?

Never write or say anything you wouldn’t want a judge or your mother to read or hear!

Physical presentation and image still count for a lot in negotiation.

Be realistic in your ambitions and polite throughout the process – it’ll get you a long way.

How much will it cost?

At the outset, there are usually too many unknown factors to give anything but an indication of the final costs, but I will give a budget for the initial steps and stick to it.

How long will it take?

The progress of a case depends on the cooperation between parties and the effort you put in to get to the result. You won’t get held up by your advisers.

Don’t you miss the City?

I’ve never really left! Although I spend most of my time working from our Hereford and Wye Valley offices, I often handle cases in London as well.
