Advising on corporate deals where clients are focused on education is a great combination. I enjoy the transactional nature of the work and the variety, but to be able to help schools to grow and develop by supporting them with strategic advice is very rewarding. In particular, I work with governors, bursars and heads of schools as well as owners, directors and shareholders of companies.
I enjoy building really sound relationships with clients, so that my understanding of their needs is clear; sales or mergers can be stressful, but I find that attention to detail, coupled with a calm and pro-active approach works best.
Outside work, my own two children keep me busy, and we love travelling and exploring as a family
