I became a property solicitor because every property is different, every transaction is different; I love that variety as much as I enjoy seeing every stage of the property life cycle, from buying a property, through development, leasing, financing and then finally selling it.
Giving really outstanding client service is the key to what I do – everyone expects all their documents and advice to be correct; that’s basic. Brilliant service means giving practical and commercial advice, when and how it suits the clients, without tangling them up in legal language, and giving them a genuine opinion rather than sitting on the fence.
Outside work, spending time with my family comes top of the list, but I still play bass guitar, though my glory days (runner up in the inaugural Law Rocks event in 2009) are definitely behind me.
