I run the Residential Conveyancing team for Hereford and Wye Valley, and we’re proud to be leaders in the market for the excellent service we provide. Property is a great area of law to work in because it’s ever-changing and so fast-paced. We get to work closely with individuals and developers on the legal process of transferring ownership of a property from one party to another, and each transaction can throw up a different challenge.
I’m very approachable and flexible and happy to speak to clients out of office hours if it suits them. I have a great deal of experience in my field and I’m very proactive, doing everything possible to ensure any required deadlines are met. I understand the importance of the transaction to the client and I know that moving house is very stressful. As solicitors, we keep up the communication and we always pay close attention to the detail, so we can make the sale as smooth and timely as possible.
In my spare time, I love sailing and experimenting with new recipes, though they’re not always that successful!
Carefully work out your finances and include stamp duty, surveyor’s fees and removals before making an offer.
Have a survey done when buying a house.
If you’re unsure of something during the transaction, please just ask.
How much will it cost?
We will give you a detailed breakdown of all costs, including our legal fees, the Land Registry fees and stamp duty.
I have lived in the area for years, why do I need searches?
Searches provide important information that can affect a property and the detail isn’t always easily found by the public. They’re also a requirement of your mortgage lender.
How long will it take?
This is difficult to answer as factors can include the length of chain, type of funding and the other parties involved. Most usually take 6–8 weeks.
