About me

I know how tough it can be when a relationship comes to an end, or there’s trouble in the family, and I’m here to help you tie up all the loose ends as painlessly as possible.

A content family life is one of the most important things in anyone’s life, and I always aim to achieve this for my clients. In every case, I look to stay one step ahead, taking action to give you the best outcome. I work with a variety of clients, including high net worth individuals and those in the military sector, and I’m a trained civil and commercial mediator.

Out of work, I have a real love of music, and I play and write for piano and clarinet.

Children Act matter settled by family lawyers

When a client required help with Children Act matters, they turned to Chartered Legal Executive Jennifer Lindup-Salmon and Senior Associate Penny-jo Wilson. There had been a history of domestic abuse between the parents involves. Jennifer and Penny-jo acted swiftly in issuing a C100 application at court - and at the end of the proceedings, they managed to secure the client having regular contact with her children going forward. This had initially been stopped by the father when he not only removed the children from her care but also relocated them to another part of the country, causing complications in the client being able to regularly seeing her children. Thanking them for their assistance, the client said: “Thank you so very much for all your help. It'd been a tough year, but you have both been fab. I really appreciate all you have done for me”.

Penny-jo regularly acts for clients in respect of children matters, including care proceedings issued by the local authority. She recently advised on public law Children Act proceedings and was able obtain Parental Responsibility for her client in respect of his step-children. How long will it take?

It depends on the case, but as a general rule, most court proceedings take a minimum of 4–6 months to resolve. If it’s highly contentious and has to progress to a final hearing, the average is 6–12 months.

This depends on the process and nature of your dispute, but we take great care to estimate costs and work out a plan to make sure you’re in financial control of your case.
