I enjoy helping people to plan ahead to protect their family, either drafting a will or putting powers of attorney in place so that they are secure in the knowledge that their loved ones will be looked after if something happens to them.
I work with a wide range of people including business owners and farmers – I always aim to combine an understanding of their position with clear advice for the way ahead.
Outside work, I enjoy taking part in triathlons.
Be organised and plan ahead; don’t leave wills or powers of attorney to the last moment.
Make sure you review your wills on a regular basis, and if your circumstances dramatically change, look to update your wills.
When is the best time to make a power of attorney?
As early as possible – a POA cannot be made once an individual has lost mental capacity, so don’t leave it until the last minute.
