If you’ve struggled to get a license for your business, or are facing prosecution from the council, I’ll work on your behalf and help you to get your business back on track.
With 27 years’ experience working for local authorities and a successful career in local government behind me, I know how complex this area of the law can be. I use my experience to help both local authorities and traders to navigate through complicated processes, and help them find the best way forward.
Although I work across all aspects of licensing and regulatory law, I specialise in private hire and taxi licensing, and have spent many years drafting and advising on policies in this area. I understand what impact licencing has on your business, so I make sure you do, too.
Outside of the office, I’m passionate about education for all. As well as being a school governor, I teach on numerous courses and university degree programmes, and provide mentoring for students.
Too much information is better than not enough information, so give me as many details as possible from the start.
When it comes to your case, your solicitor is your best friend – be sure to trust them.
You’re more likely to see success if you get advice at the earliest opportunity, so don’t be afraid to give me a call.
How much will it cost?
It varies depending on the circumstances. If you provide me with as much information at the start of the case, I’ll give you an accurate fee estimate.
Can I have a bit of advice?
A ‘bit of advice’ can sometimes be dangerous without knowing all the facts! An initial chat with me is free of charge and without obligation, so let me know what’s going on and I’ll give my expert opinion.
Can you guarantee we will win?
I can never guarantee that you’ll win your case, but I can promise that I’ll give you the best possible chance of success.
