Tina Chander

Consultant

Why choose me

My legal insight empowers business owners, directors and HR teams throughout the lifecycle of a business.

My expertise spans the full spectrum of employment law, including advising employers and employees on dealing with unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and employment tribunal claims, proceedings, and appeals. In addition, I have extensive experience advising on the TUPE aspects of corporate transactions and the outsourcing of contracts between companies.

I help businesses navigate settlement agreements, advise on large-scale redundancies and restructures, and provide support with everyday HR and employment law processes including advising on the ACAS Code on disciplinary procedures, dismissals, poor performance and grievance processes.

I also draft employment contracts, settlement agreements, staff handbooks and policies, and executive service agreements. I am regularly instructed to negotiate termination payments and to provide HR and employment law training to line managers.

Across all my work I’m driven by my deep-rooted passion for helping people and strong experience in employment law.

I’m qualified as both a barrister and solicitor and am uniquely placed to work with both individuals and businesses and assist with the diverse challenges they face.

I help employers of all sizes, from small businesses to global enterprises and support the Commercial and Corporate teams at Wright Hassall.

My experience includes:

  • Regularly dealing with HR and employment law matters for Europe’s leading play supplier and manufacturer.
  • Supporting a specialist publishing house by producing high-quality distinctive publications for industries, clients and corporate customers worldwide, and in a claim issued by a former employee for unfair dismissal and discrimination which was successfully defended at Tribunal.
  • Providing employment law advice to a global valuation and corporate finance adviser in relation to a number of care homes placed in administration.
  • Providing HR and employment law advice to two maintenance and construction companies undertaking work for the MOD in relation to the transfer of employees.
  • Negotiating an exit package for a senior director of a national property developer.
