Why choose me

As a property lawyer with over 20 years’ experience, I specialise in acting for individuals buying and selling freehold and leasehold property, re-mortgaging and transfer of equity. These transactions  can be stressful for clients, so I keep them fully informed and take time to explain processes in a jargon-free way.

I have experience working with individuals as well as developers undertaking small site set-up and subsequent sales of those plots,  along with national  house builders in dealing with the acquisition and resale of their part exchange properties. I also act for clients who are buying second homes or relocating from abroad.

Outside work, I enjoy travelling to new places, walking my dog, and my new-found lockdown hobby – baking!

Questions my clients ask me

On average, a conveyancing transaction takes around 12 weeks. However, there may be other factors involved such as receipt of searches, mortgage offers, leasehold packs and/or management company information which may affect this timescale.

As with most things in life, you get what you pay for; cheap is not always best! Please rest assured that I will always act in your best interests and return your calls in a timely manner.

Yes – do obtain a survey suitable to the type and age of the property you are buying. It may seem costly but can save money in the long run. Do also obtain searches relevant to the property you are buying. You don’t want any nasty surprises when you come to sell and when a future buyer will undoubtedly obtain them.
