For your business - keeping your business going
We recently held a webinar for business owners and managers on returning to work after Covid-19, looking at getting your people back from furlough, health, safety and risk assessment, and varying commercial contracts. |
We also answered all the return to work questions we were asked before and during the webinar. |
One aspect that we think has changed forever from an employment law perspective is flexible home working. We take a look at how the increase in home working during the pandemic might influence a rise in flexible working requests when things go ‘back to normal’. |
A further implication of the rise in home working is the potential for increased cyber and data security risks and many businesses are wondering what Covid-19 means for data protection compliance. We’ve considered recent guidance issued by the UK’s data regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), to answer some common questions. |
As employers prepare to expand the number of staff working from offices and other establishments in the weeks ahead, there will be some difficult conversations with those employees who may be reluctant, frightened or just plain unwilling to return to an environment in which they don’t feel safe. In our article we explore some of the legal questions arising and offer some practical tips to employers as to how to navigate them. |
As we start to edge back to a new ‘business as normal’ and we evolve the way that we operate, it’s vital to ensure our organisation’s anti-bribery risk management process remains fit for purpose. We look at why this matters and what you can do to protect your business. |
Many businesses are checking their existing contracts to see how much it will cost them to terminate. Some are in for a shock, as they realise how little attention has been paid to this strategically pivotal issue in a contract. We provide tips if you’re faced with this situation. |
