Tonina Ashby, Partner and Notary Public in the Private Client team, was recently contacted to help advise on the creation of a Disabled Person’s Trust for the relative of a client.

A disabled person’s trust is a trust which can protect a disabled person who could be vulnerable to financial abuse or exploitation. It’s a way of managing money and assets if the person is unable to do it themselves.

As part of the Older and Vulnerable People team, Tonina’s expertise was invaluable in the creation of the trust. A previous trust was closed in favour of the new one, with the funds transferred.
