As the IT Support & Development Apprentice you will be supporting the two IT teams – Technical IT and Support IT. You will be learning in a thriving and professional environment. Shadowing experienced IT colleagues and assisting with support queries as well as helping with technical development, fix and install issues. You will be studying for the Business Administrator qualification while learning IT tasks on the job.

As the IT Support & Development Apprentice you will be supporting the IT teams by providing essential support services while learning tasks on the job and studying for the Business Administration Level 3 qualification.
As an apprentice, you have dedicated study time at work as well as completing other work-related learning during your working week.
The ideal candidate will be responsible, creative and be self-motivated. They will have good grammar, be well presented and have a ‘can do’ attitude. They will be encouraged to ask questions, offered continuous support and have regular opportunities to shadow staff and learn new skills.
HCR’s IT Service is divided into 2 teams:
Technical/Development and Support/Training. You will be supporting both of these areas in your role.
Duties as follows:
•Copying and collating into folders all training guides and handouts
•Assist with setting up rooms for training and meetings when required
•Assist with testing SOS on new areas of development
•Assist with some basic IT systems training (depending on competency)
•Assist with the administration of SOS development scheduled for teams
•Assist with maintaining inventory of equipment and keeping store room in good order
•First responder for IT development
•First responder for IT support- taking basic details and assisting or arranging a return call as applicable
•Maintaining stock levels and inventories
•Simple user creation duties and security tasks
As your knowledge and experience develops you will begin to do more focussed support tasks.
