An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to come and join our team.

Based in our Cheltenham office you will be working full time in the Dispute Resolution Team supporting two Partners and four solicitors by carrying out legal work, under supervision. In addition you will be carrying out administrative work where required.

As a Paralegal you will need to have

  • Previous experience within a Paralegal role is essential
  • Excel experience
  • Ability to use own initiative to manage own caseload of files
  • Confident, pro-active manner with excellent telephone skills
  • Excellent organisational capability with good attention to detail
  • Client service focussed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team and to offer support to peers where required
  • Legal qualification


  • Salary: £16,000 to £22,000 DOE
  • Working Hours : Monday to Friday 9-5PM
  • Location: Cheltenham
  • Duration: Permanent

Role of a Paralegal

Service and Standards

  • Committed to understanding and meeting the Firm’s and the Regulator’s standards
  • Communicates clearly both orally and in writing using appropriate language including accurate spelling and grammar

  • Is always discreet and trustworthy
  • Respects diversity and acts fairly and inclusively

Financial Contribution

  • Has a basic understanding of the Department and wider Firm’s business strategy
  • Has a sound working knowledge of core financial concepts relevant to role e.g. WIP,

Billable Hours, “Write Off”

  • Able to provide legally sound, clearly expressed chargeable advice to a range of clients

Marketing the Firm

  • Communicates in a positive way about the Firm both internally and externally
  • Adapts to organisational change quickly and positively
  • Understands and displays the Firm’s culture and values

Technical and Legal

  • Produces clear, accurate and thorough legal research
  • Seeks advice and guidance when appropriate and discloses when tasks are beyond the personal capability
  • Maintains own knowledge in a relevant area of law
  • Makes effective use of information management systems including storing and retrieving information
