When Cannon Packaging and Logistics came to renew their lease and their existing annual £40,000 service charges on their Milton Park premises in Abingdon, they took advice from Mark. He suggested that they ask for a cap on the charges, which the landlord agreed to, setting the new level at £50,000 a year.
But repairs needed to the property would have taken the charges up to £96,000 without the cap in place, so Cannon’s director Greg Alder was delighted.
He said: “The fact that Mark was so on the ball has saved us thousands – we are really delighted with the outcome and relieved that we took advice rather than seeing as just another piece of admin. When it makes such a difference to the bottom line, it is worth using the experts.”
