Michael Hiscock, Partner at HCR Wright Hassall
As a specialist in construction and engineering procurement with over 20 years’ experience, Michael advises on a variety of JCT, MF/1, NEC3/4 contracts and frameworks, professional terms of appointment bonds, guarantees and ancillary documentation. Working with UK and international contractors, designers, employers, occupiers and funders in a wide variety of sectors including social housing, health, education, sport and leisure, waste, logistics, manufacturing, local government and energy.
Rebecca Fagan-Spence Msci CGeol FGS, Principal Geo-environmental Engineer at Cundall
Rebecca is a contaminated land consultant with a decades worth of experience in the regeneration of brownfield land including land quality risk assessments, materials management, ground investigation and remediation. Rebecca is a Chartered Geologist, member of the Society of Brownfield Risk Assessment and a Qualified Person under the Definition of Waste Code of Practice soils reuse scheme.
Mathias Cheung, Barrister at Atkin Chambers Barristers
Mathias Cheung’s domestic and international commercial practice covers all areas of Chambers’ work, including construction, engineering and infrastructure, energy and utilities, information technology, professional negligence, and international arbitration.
Mathias has experience at all stages of mediation, litigation, adjudication, and arbitration, and he has worked with a variety of bespoke and standard form contracts including the FIDIC, JCT, NEC and ACE forms, as well as various forms of PFI contracts.
Mark Dyche - Managing Director at Safety For Group Ltd
Mark is the founder and Managing Director of Safety For Group Ltd, providing specialist CDM Principal Designer and Building Regulations Principal Designer services across the UK.
With over 30 years’ experience in construction and health & safety, Mark supports clients and design teams in managing risk through the design process, ensuring projects meet both CDM 2015 and Building Regulations requirements.
His work focuses on early design engagement, coordinated risk management, and creating clear, auditable routes to compliance. Mark is also actively involved in developing training aligned with PAS 8671, supporting the ongoing competence of Principal Designers under the Building Safety Act regime.
He has led compliance strategies across a wide range of projects including hotels, student accommodation, housing refurbishment and large commercial schemes, and is on the APS Building Regulations Principal Designer Register.
Andrew Foster, Senior Partner at Robothams Architects
Since joining the practice in 1993 Andrew has worked for a wide range of public and private sector clients. Leading the delivery of projects from small scale remodelling and refurbishment to multi-million-pound master planning and capital schemes. Although he has worked across the whole spectrum of building types, he specialises in education and community focused projects.
Elliott Cairney, Associate at MGAC
Elliott Cairney is an Associate at MGAC and the day-to-day lead on the BBC Tea Factory project. Having been involved from the outset, including early project and site-related stages, he is well placed to speak about the risks, challenges, and lessons involved in repurposing an existing industrial building.
