Building on the previous position in 2021, when HCR Law’s Welsh office in Cardiff were appointed to two lots, the firm has now been appointed to five areas.

These are; Corporate Governance, Education, Planning and Environmental, Property, and Construction.

This expanded appointment demonstrates the depth of expertise in HCR Law’s Welsh office in Cardiff and the growing reputation in the public sector.

The four-year framework enables public sector organisations across Wales to access trusted legal advice across a wide range of specialist areas, and HCR Law’s increased appointment ensures the firm is well-placed to support the public sector across both South and North Wales.

Hefin Archer-Williams, Partner and Head of HCR Law’s Cardiff office, commented:

“Following a highly competitive tender process, we are delighted to have been reappointed to the Welsh Government framework with an expanded remit. Moving from two to five lots in just four years is a clear testament to the specialist legal advice we are delivering to our clients each and every day, and the calibre of the team we are continuing to build here in Wales.

In 2025, we are celebrating five years since the opening of our Welsh office. This appointment is an important milestone – one that underlines our continued commitment to supporting public sector organisations across Wales with trusted, specialist legal advice.”
