Krissy Scott wins Legal Advisor of the Year award

Krissy Scott, Partner and Head of the Education Sector at HCR Law, has been named Legal Advisor of the Year – Private/Corporate at the EducationInvestor Power List awards.

The inaugural EducationInvestor Power List celebrates the most effective, inspiring and influential leaders in education, recognising those who have made a significant impact on the sector.

With almost 30 years’ experience advising the education sector, Krissy has devoted her career to helping schools, colleges and higher education institutions navigate complex challenges and embrace opportunities.

Krissy is a recognised leader in child protection, with specialist expertise in global safeguarding, and a trusted source of strategic guidance for independent schools amid recent sector change.

Since the late 2000s, Krissy has led the development of model employment contracts for the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA) and the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) as well as the child protection policy.

Commenting on the award, Krissy said: “It’s a real honour to receive this award. Supporting the education of children and young people and keeping them safe has always been my priority and I remain committed to helping all types of educational establishments as they adapt, overcome challenges and embrace new opportunities.

“This award reflects the incredible work and support of our entire Education team and is equal recognition for all my brilliant colleagues. This latest success comes during a period of growth for the Education team. Rising client demand and a high volume of work have driven recent increases in headcount. The team also launched a collaboration with governance, risk and finance specialist Sam Coutinho Consulting to enhance client services.

Krissy’s win was announced at the EducationInvestor Power List awards event, held on 2 December at London Marriott, Grosvenor Square, which brought together leading voices in the sector for a day of celebration and recognition.
