Peter Brewer becomes accredited IPOS mediator

Peter Brewer, Dispute Resolution Partner in HCR Law’s Birmingham office has become an accredited IPOS mediator.

IPOS Mediation has provided mediators for UK and international disputes for over 25 years. All IPOS mediators are highly experienced and leaders in their field with many recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.

Peter has over 20 years’ experience as a dispute resolution lawyer and joined HCR Law earlier this month. He’s a keen advocate of mediation and became an accredited civil and commercial mediator himself in 2019. Peter specialises in shareholder and insolvency disputes and also advises on enforcing restrictive covenants as well as contractual, partnership and banking disputes.

A respected litigation specialist, Peter is currently Chair of the Birmingham Law Society and is regarded as a leading expert in complex commercial litigation.

Peter said: “As a dispute resolution lawyer, my aim is always to understand my client’s preferred outcome and to help them to achieve this wherever possible. Litigation can be stressful and expensive and I’m a keen advocate of mediation, allowing clients to work towards a solution as amicably as possible and without the need for courts.
