Top 50 UK law firm, HCR Law, has welcomed three new partners across business and private client legal services.
The three new partners, Lisa Adams, Joanna Baker and Sean Boucher, are based in the firm’s Wye Valley, Cambridge and Cardiff offices, respectively. These appointments reflect increasing client demand across HCR Law’s full-service offering in England and Wales.
Based in HCR’s Wye Valley office, Lisa Adams is a significant addition to the Real Estate team, with 25 years of legal experience including almost eight years in-house, where she advised on large scale regeneration schemes for a district council. Specialising in commercial property, Lisa advises a range of matters including leases, development agreements, sale and purchase of commercial properties, and overage agreements.
On joining HCR Law, Lisa commented: “I’ve advised many businesses across Gloucestershire and Herefordshire throughout my career and have always been familiar with HCR Law. The pace of growth at the firm is noteworthy, and it is clear this growth is led from a client-centric approach, ensuring they deliver the very best legal services to their clients. I’m delighted to be joining HCR Law and continuing to advise leading businesses across the regions.”
HCR Law’s Private Client team has welcomed both Sean and Joanna.
Recognised as a key lawyer by Legal 500, Sean is a member of STEP, the global professional body that sets and upholds high standards in the field of inheritance and succession planning. STEP membership reflects Sean’s expertise in advising on all aspects of lifetime planning, including Wills, estate administration, and Lasting Powers of Attorney, with Sean’s particular specialism in supporting clients within the rural community.
Commenting on his appointment, Sean said: “HCR Law has a growing reputation across both Wales and England. In just five years, the Welsh office in Cardiff has made a significant impact on the Welsh legal market. I’m excited to now be part of the HCR team and to contribute to the continued momentum here in Wales, as we deliver exceptional legal services to clients across the country.”
Lastly, Joanna Baker joins the firm’s Cambridge office. With a legal career spanning both in-house and private practice, Joanna specialises in contentious probate and trusts. Like Sean, she is recognised in Legal 500 and is noted as being “extremely good” with an “impressive” handling of managing complex legal matters. Joanna advises on private wealth disputes and is highly regarded across East Anglia.
Joanna stated: “I am thrilled to be joining HCR and the private client team. From the outset of the interview process, it was clear how much care the team invests in every client matter, and the legal expertise HCR Law has in its armoury to support clients right across the country, as well as internationally. I am looking forward to beginning this next chapter of my legal career and being a part of the Disputed Wills, Trusts and Estates team.”
The appointments of Lisa Adams, Joanna Baker and Sean Boucher reflect HCR Law’s continued full-service growth. This trajectory is evident firm-wide, including in London, where the firm recently relocated its London office and International HQ to the iconic skyscraper WTW (Willis Towers Watson).
