About me

Property and land are often a company or individual’s most valuable asset and real estate is at the core of a thriving business or investment. I help companies and individuals to buy, sell, lease or develop land, working for businesses, landowners, landlords, tenants and individual investors – along with asset management.

There is real satisfaction in getting a transaction over the line and seeing happy clients achieve their goals. Friendly, responsive, thorough and commercially focused, I take the time to understand client’s’ goals and deliver honest and effective advice.

Outside work, I enjoy giving most fitness classes a go, netball, travelling around the world and baking.

Ask questions – that’s what we are here for. It is always worth checking or running your thoughts by us.

Communication - be open and honest about your goals and timescales with your solicitor and share all information with them. Remember to keep a good relationship/line of communication open with other parties in the transaction.

Act early – instruct experienced advisers from the outset. This includes an agent to negotiate favourable terms and progress the transaction, and a surveyor to inspect the physical condition of the property.

Read questions I'm frequently asked

How long will the process take?

It depends on the nature of the transaction and parties involved. I will identify and resolve any issues or risks to you so that I can provide a realistic timeframe.

What additional costs are there?

You should also budget for Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT), Land Registry fees and potentially VAT.

Do you need to carry out due diligence on the property if I’m only taking a short lease?

Subject to the terms of the lease, you will be responsible for the property for your period of occupation. If you don’t know the potential issues, you cannot plan, prepare and budget for them before you commit to the lease.
