Administering grants effectively and with as little trouble for the charities involved is the focus of my work – working with trustees to help to move their projects forward and realise their goals is something I particularly enjoy.
I currently help to administer grants made by eight charities, which provides a variety of detailed and interesting work. This ranges from making grants to students, student bodies and charities dealing with horticulture and fine art history, so I work with a very wide range of people too.
Ensuring the day-to-day running and administration of the charities means that my work supports the projects and good causes which are funded; that is very rewarding.
When I’m not at work, I love visiting Scotland – despite the dreaded midges!
