I specialise in disputes relating to the validity of wills and potential claims against the estate. This includes claims in relation to the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, proprietary estoppel and the removal and substitution of executors. 

I work on matters at all stages, from pre-action through to mediation and Court proceedings. Examples of how I have helped clients include: 

• Securing the removal of an executor and obtaining a Costs Order imposing a personal costs liability against the removed executor, allowing the remaining executor to proceed with the estate administration after a three-year impasse. 

• Successfully defending a claim for removal of an executor. 

• Assisting on several proprietary estoppel claims, all with an agricultural element, up to and including trial. 

• Assisting on successfully seeking a declaration against the validity of a will on the ground of testamentary capacity. 

• Assisting on achieving a settlement in respect of a multi-million pound estate.
