Why choose me

I have over 25 years of real estate experience and advise on all aspects of both instant and strategic land acquisition, development, disposal and promotion.

My expertise includes:

  • complex conditional contracts
  • fixed and variable price contracts
  • option agreements
  • promotion agreements
  • hybrid agreements
  • development agreements
  • golden brick contracts
  • overage agreements and variations
  • landowner collaboration agreements
  • land assembly
  • equalisation
  • joint venture agreements
  • escrow agreements
  • control strips
  • deferred payments and legal charges

My clients include developers, promoters, land owners, land pool trusts, local authorities and Registered Providers. I’ve worked with them on matters including:

  • a tripartite transaction involving the acquisition of a site from Homes England for a developer client, and the development and sale of a proportion of the units to a Registered Provider. The development works were carried out under a building lease with the freehold being transferred in phases at practical completion.
  • a complex multi-party conditional acquisition of land surrounding Leamington Spa train station for a developer client. The transaction involved site assembly and the relocation and development of a new out-of-town bus station.
  • the multi-million-pound sale of serviced parcels to two PLC housebuilders on behalf of a developer client.
  • the conditional long leasehold acquisition of a landmark vacant office building in Stratford-upon-Avon for a Registered Provider client. The site was redeveloped to provide an award winning private rented scheme.
  • the conditional acquisition of the section 106 affordable housing on a high-profile brown field regeneration site in Swindon for a Registered Provider client. The developer is a building society which is building homes again for the first time in over one hundred years and the scheme attracted national press coverage.
  • four separate joint venture agreements with a private developer for a Registered Provider client.
