Why choose me
Private Client law appealed to me because of the opportunity it gives to make a real difference. Clients often come to me during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. By creating a supportive environment and taking time to understand the issue they are faced with, I quickly build trust and instil confidence that I can find a way to move things forward.
I simplify what are often complex matters, using clear and proactive communication to support my clients throughout the process.
My clients include charities, farmers, and any individual who finds themselves in the middle of a personal dispute. Handling contentious issues with a compassionate approach, I aim to resolve matters as effectively as possible, using alternative resolution such as mediation and roundtable meetings wherever possible.
If the matter does end up in court, I advise my client throughout, preparing court bundles, instructing counsel and attending hearings. I also prepare all documentation such as settlement agreements, letters of claim and witness statements and advise on caveats.
Outside work I love to stay active. I’m a keen runner but I’m happy to give any outdoor sport a go. I particularly enjoy spending weekends walking in the Peak District with friends and family.

Questions my clients ask me
Get in touch with us as soon as possible. We can then review all documentation available before offering comprehensive advice on how to protect your position and ensure the estate administration is appropriately managed.
We enter a caveat where our clients suspect a will is invalid. There may also be other circumstances where a caveat is appropriate e.g. where our client objects to someone applying for probate. We constantly review our client’s position to ensure a caveat is appropriately used.
We would ensure documentation and information is reviewed before advising on whether there are grounds to remove an executor.
