Why choose me
I help clients think about what will happen when they pass away, document their wishes and support their family with the paperwork after their death.
This area of law fascinates me. Making a will is often a moment of reflection for clients – on their lives and loved ones. Estate administration is rarely straightforward and can take unexpected turns, which means no two matters are the same.
I’m passionate about providing a great service. I listen to my will clients with sensitivity, so they feel they’re talking to a friend with legal knowledge. As a Dementia Friend, I understand the unique challenges families face when a loved one is living with dementia. I take extra care to communicate clearly and patiently, ensuring that decisions are explained in plain English.
Communication and managing expectations are key, particularly with estate matters. I take a pragmatic approach to administering my clients’ wishes and handle every case with great care, as if it were my own family.
I can help with will writing, lasting powers of attorney, estate administration where there’s a will or intestacy, trust-related work and inheritance tax planning.
I have experience working with IFAs, accountants, land agent valuers, estate agents, specialist tax advisers, genealogists and foreign lawyers and notaries.
Outside work, I love spending time with my family, walking my dogs up hills and down dales and exercising – lifting weights at the gym is a great stress reliever!

Questions my clients ask me
Think about who will be in change – your executors. Who would you like to inherit from your estate? What happens if that person dies before you? You’ll also need to consider funeral wishes and guardians if you have young children.
Each estate is unique and it’s important that every single aspect of the deceased’s life is dealt with thoroughly. We can give an idea of timescales once the size and complexity of the estate is clear.
