Why choose me

I help individuals, companies and trusts buy, sell, remortgage and transfer residential property.

Residential property law is fast-paced and procedural. I enjoy title investigations, resolving complex issues and managing transactions from start to finish. That means keeping clients informed, meeting deadlines and ensuring correspondence is handled promptly.

My private client experience adds value when trusts, estates and family arrangements are involved.

I work with a wide range of clients, from high net worth individuals to first-time buyers. Most purchase homes to live in but I also handle buy-to-let transactions, including HMOs. I act for investment companies and trusts, buying, selling and remortgaging residential property, including portfolios.

I specialise in adverse possession, easement registration, unregistered land, trust-owned property, matrimonial transfers under consent orders and transfers under Tomlin orders.

I’m responsive and available by phone or email. I aim to meet all reasonable completion dates and provide clear, concise advice without legal jargon.

Outside work, I’m a keen runner and member of Heath Massive Run Club. I’ve recently taken up tennis lessons in a bid to become the next Serena Williams, and I enjoy walking, reading and making yoghurt and kombucha.

Questions my clients ask me

It depends on the parties involved. The usual time for a freehold matter is 12 weeks; leasehold matters take slightly longer. However, the matter may progress faster if there are no title or property issues revealed.

We can’t give a time. In the case of a purchase, it depends on the banking system and how long it takes for funds to be released by our bank and received by the other solicitor’s bank, and vice versa, in the case of a sale. It also depends on the length of the chain.

We are bound by the Money Laundering Regulations. These require us to obtain information about where funds are coming from and what the source of the wealth is. Once we are satisfied on both points, we can receive monies.
