This area of law allows me to combine analytical skills with my compassionate nature to ensure that decisions made about health, welfare, finances or care are in their best interests. Private Client law is a specialisms which provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by safeguarding individuals’ rights and enabling them to live with dignity and autonomy.
I ensure to keep my clients informed and offer reassurance through challenging situations and provide clear, practical advice tailored to each client’s circumstances. My specialisms include mental capacity law, helping navigating complex capacity assessments, property and financial affairs, which requires assisting with the management of assets and financial matters for those lacking capacity, and dispute resolution – resolving matters in the Court of Protection. I also specialise in advocacy and representation – representing clients’ interests in court proceedings, and client care.
Outside of work, I am passionate about music, particularly playing the piano, which allows me to express creativity and unwind. I also enjoy staying active and spending time exploring with my dog.

This is a special court in the UK which makes decisions for people who lack the mental capacity to make decisions for themselves. His can include decisions about their health, care and finances.
An LPA is a document that allows someone to make decisions on another person’s behalf, but it must be set up when the person has mental capacity. Deputyship, on the other hand, is appointed by the Court of Protection when a person lacks capacity and needs someone to make decisions for them.
A deputy is appointed by the Court of Protection to make decisions on behalf of someone who lacks mental capacity. This can include decisions about managing finances, healthcare and living arrangements. The deputy has a legal responsibility to act in the person’s best interests and must report to the court regularly.
