Not only am I a lawyer, I’m also a farmer with decades of experience in farming. This combination drew me to agricultural law, given the natural fit to both areas of my life and allows me to offer a unique combination of practical and legal skills to my clients.
By building strong interpersonal relationships, I get to understand their motivations and, as a famer myself, I can really relate to the challenges they face. This means that the advice I provide is practical, tailored and holistic, not “just” legal advice.
Combining these two diverse roles into one means I’m a better-rounded lawyer for my farming, and a more tenacious farmer for the lawyering.
Outside work I breed pedigree Suffolk and Shropshire sheep. And I’m a big cricket fan.
