I’m passionate about protecting people from financial abuse and promoting accountability where organisations fail to meet their legal responsibilities.
With eight years’ experience in this area and a background in litigation, I’m able to anticipate potential issues early and plan ahead. I’ve successfully represented lay and professional deputies and attorneys, as well as panel deputies, in disputes involving high-value estates, including conducting my own advocacy and recovering costs where possible.
I take a highly personal approach to my work. I treat clients as I would my own family when making best interests decisions, ensuring I gather all relevant information and involve the individual and those close to them wherever possible. I understand these situations can be challenging, so I focus on clear communication and managing expectations in a supportive and empathetic way.
I work with a range of clients, including vulnerable individuals who lack capacity, local authorities and charities. I’m also an associate member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and the Professional Deputies Forum.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my two young daughters, socialising and keeping fit. I also like to challenge myself with the Observer Everyman cryptic crossword and am working towards beating my personal best time of 70 seconds to solve a Rubik’s Cube.
