Why choose me

I help people plan for the future, making sure vulnerable individuals are protected and properly looked after, especially when they are unable to do it themselves.

My clients include older and vulnerable adults, local authorities, charities and independent financial advisors.

I can help with Court of Protection matters, providing deputyship advice for existing deputies and people seeking to apply to be a deputy. I also specialise in care funding advice, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and suspected financial abuse of elderly or vulnerable individuals.

Navigating such matters can be distressing for families, which is why I take time to listen, explain clearly and support clients through sensitive and emotional matters with compassion. I make complex legal processes easy to understand, avoiding jargon and using reassuring language, visual aids or adapted communication methods to make sure my clients fully understand their options.

I provide holistic support for families, not just handling the paperwork but guiding them through the practical realities of caring for someone who has lost capacity.

When urgent action is needed, I can step in quickly to secure interim orders, such as urgent authority to access funds for care fees. I make sure I’m available when clients need me and keep them updated throughout the process.

Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with my young family and friends, keeping fit, walking my dogs and going to church. I love to travel, listen to audiobooks and podcasts and enjoy good food!

My top tips for clients

Communicate openly – discussing your wishes with your family now can help to avoid misunderstandings and disputes in the future.

Keep documents up to date – review wills, powers of attorney and financial arrangements regularly, especially after major life events (marriage, divorce, children, property purchases).

Plan early – putting wills, LPAs and care arrangements in place before they’re urgently needed saves time, stress and costs later.
