Why choose me
I help people and businesses resolve disputes involving property, land and leases, whether that’s through negotiation or, where needed, formal legal action to protect their position and reach a fair outcome.
I specialise in commercial property litigation, with a focus on disputes involving the enforcement of lease covenants. This includes forfeiture, recovery of rent arrears, insolvency-related claims, unreasonable withholding of consent and dilapidations. I act for landlords and occupiers on lease renewal notices and claims under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and help clients obtain possession and deal with abandoned goods.
I also work with property professionals and organisations on disputes and issues arising from property portfolios and estate management, including restrictive covenants, adverse possession, compulsory purchase and option agreements.
Disputes can be stressful and time-sensitive, so I focus on practical advice, early identification of risks and solutions that reflect my clients’ wider objectives, including cost, time and reputational considerations. I’m comfortable with advocacy and negotiation, and I use mediation where it’s the best route to a sensible outcome.
I work with clients across the property and commercial sectors, including higher education institutions, national property consultancies and agents and commercial leisure and retail operators. What sets me apart is my adaptability and focus on building strong client relationships. I take the time to understand what drives the people I work with and what they need from me, combining legal expertise with commercial insight to deliver pragmatic, outcome-driven solutions.
Outside work, I’m happiest when travelling or out in the garden. Both give me the chance to switch off, recharge and come back with a fresh perspective.
