About me

As a corporate lawyer, it’s my role to advise my clients on all aspects of their business, from starting their journey to the buying and selling of companies. A large part of this area of law is problem solving; finding solutions to your questions and ensuring everything goes smoothly for you.

I’ve had a lot of experience in owner-managed businesses and private equity funds, and advise across a range of specialisms, including share purchase agreements, company restructures, shareholders agreements and articles of association, family investment companies and growth shares amongst others.

Outside of work, I enjoy taking weekend breaks away from the city to the countryside and challenging myself with new and exciting hikes – when I’m not a corporate solicitor, I’m a keen mountaineer!

Top Tips & FAQs

Discover my top tips

Communication is key. Communicate clearly and often – with your team, clients, customers and advisors.

Consult with a solicitor early on in your business journey. Waiting until something has gone wrong before taking legal advice is not the most advisable approach!

Any corporate issue you are facing will likely feel less stressful or overwhelming once you have instructed a solicitor.

Read questions I’m frequently asked

What is the difference between a share sale and an asset sale?
A share sale is when the shares in a company are sold from one entity to another entity. This means all assets that the company owns where it is – the ownership of the company itself changes. An asset sale is where that company sells the asset it holds to another entity.

Can I force my shareholders or directors to do something?
In order to answer this question, the starting point would be to review the company’s articles of association, any shareholders agreements that may be in place and any other documentation entered into between the shareholders and directors.

How quickly can we get this matter over the line?
The answer will vary depending on the matter. Clarity can be provided once further details have been received. We will ensure that we will do all we can to get things completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
